Making Me Blush

Ah blush! With a stroke of color you can transform your look and uplift your spirit. Its a must have for an alive and youthful appearance.
Different Strokes for Different Folks
  1. Powder blush works for everyone. I love to apply it with a large powder brush. Dip the brush in a pinky coral shade (a universally pretty tone) and apply on the apples of the cheeks. Blending is key. Banish harsh lines and splotches. For more drama, sweep blush along the temples and forehead.
  2. Cream blush is very natural and looks great on smooth skin. After foundation, apply cream blush by stippling lightly on the apples of the cheeks and along the cheekbones. Blend with a sponge to a natural flush. Follow with a light dusting of translucent powder to set the cream to last all day. Totally Cheeky!
  3. Cheek stains are amazing because they do not budge, look the most natural and are great for women who prefer a “no-makeup” look. Apply on the apples of the cheeks with your fingers and rub in circular motions. Work quickly because stains dry in seconds and do not need to be set with powder. I like to rub a little on lips, too.
  4. Bronzers are pretty on everyone and much safer than the dreaded suntan. To bronze, apply on the apples, cheekbones, temples and a little on the forehead, nose and chin. Then go back and apply a little pinky coral color to the apples. This is an "up my sleeve" trick I use, because bronzer alone can look a bit muddy and the bright color on the apples gives you that life-loving glow. Ooh la la!
  5. Always be sure to choose the right color and remember, if you tend to have oily skin take the shade down one notch. Oils in the skin can cause color to deepen as the day goes on and no one wants to se a beautiful princess turn into a pumpkin!
